The OFC/NZF GK B Licence course is designed for coaches working in advanced youth and senior contexts. The objective of the course is to support coaches by evolving their coaching practice, enabling them to operate at the most advanced levels.
This is a 10-day course (split into two 5-day face-to-face contact blocks). It supports the development of our most advanced coaches, requiring them to complete a range of Distance Learning Tasks (DLTs). This course is a mix of theory and practical modules.
Ensure you refer to the NZF Assessment Guide – GK B Licence located in the materials tab.
It contains detailed task instructions and marking criteria for each Distance Learning Task, including the Final Assessment.
Theory and practical modules will be linked directly to coaches demonstrating competence in these three areas:
- Role of the Goalkeeper Coach
- The Training Environment
- The Match
Coaches will also demonstrate competency in their coaching practice bringing to life the following areas of the NZF Four Corner Player Development Model:
- Technical
- Physical
- Mental
- Tactical
Coaches will also be challenged to think and analyse their coaching practice critically and seek ways to evolve it within their current context.
On completion of all course tasks including a final assessment, the coach will be awarded the OFC/NZF GK B Licence and gain 100 Continual Professional Development (CPD) accreditation points.
This course will take 8 months minimum to complete.
